For those of you who are familiar with coconut oil, you know that it changes from solid to liquid depending on the temperature. For this mask we want it in its liquid state so if it is solid you can microwave it for a few seconds. This mask will be more beneficial for those with fine to medium hair, than for those with coarse thicker hair. Believe it or not coconut oil is not for all hair textures, so if you noticed that coconut oil makes your hair dryer instead of moisturized, shiny and soft, stop using it on your hair. For those of you with thinner hair here is the recipe.

You Will Need:

4 tbsps. Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

2 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Just mix both oils in a small bowl, if the coconut oil is hard you can microwave it for a few seconds so it’s easier to mix. Apply the mixture to your hair focusing on the ends, and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Feel free to leave it on overnight if your hair is very damaged, and sleep with a shower cap so the oil doesn’t ruin your pillow. Rinse it off and shampoo and condition as usual. Make sure you shampoo your hair really well or else it will look greasy when it dries. Do this once a week and you will see a significant improvement in about 4 weeks.

So why is avocado so good for your hair? Because it’s full of vitamins, proteins, iron, amino acids, and magnesium. It also promotes hair growth and prevents dandruff. Do this mask once a week for shiny and healthy hair.

You Will Need…

½ Ripe Avocado

1 Egg

1 tbsp Organic Raw Honey

Whisk the egg, and on a separate bowl mash the avocado with a fork until it is very smooth and creamy, then add the honey and egg and mix well. Apply the mixture to your hair, once again focusing on the ends, and cover it with a shower cap and leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Rinse it off and shampoo and condition as usual.
